Installation and repair of telephone and broadband services for the following: T1, data, DSL, Adsl, Vdsl, and voice lines using various test equipment, modems, and basic networking knowledge.

The candidate must have a valid driver's license that would qualify the current company's carrier to insure the individual for traveling with the use of a company vehicle to residential and business customers for the installation and repair of the company's services. The candidate is responsible for performing all duties associated with installing and repairing telephone and broadband services. The duties include, but not limited to, splicing copper and fiber cable, grounding and bonding cable, inside wiring and rewiring of residential and business locations including CAT 5 wire, working aloft on ladders and in bucket trucks, and the ability to work in confined spaces, such as closets and crawl spaces. The position will require the use of test meters and interpretation of results as well as the technique of splicing copper and fiber cable. Basic knowledge of electrical theory for understanding and analyzing causes and effects of problems is required in order to trouble shoot and repair the service problem. Broadband services require the use of computers, with basic knowledge of modems, routers, home networking and being familiar with Windows Operating System and its components. The candidate will be working with various types of modems and routers and is required to be familiar with its configurations. When inside the customer's premises, the individual will be required to respect the customer's home and business environment, and provide courteous and professional service. The technician is encouraged to recommend Nitco products while at the customer's premise that may benefit the customers' needs, such as increasing upload and download speeds and current promotions. Due to the rapid change in technology other duties may be assigned as needed to keep current with the industry.

Help Desk Specialist

Serves as primary phone support for current services offered by NITCO, which includes but are not limited to Voice, Internet, IPTV, Domain Hosting and Security by providing technical assistance and guiding the users to connect or troubleshoot their service problems. Works with outsourced technical support to coordinate NITCO’s processes and ensure proper documentation of service calls with follow-up to ensure quality service to customers. Analyzes call volumes to determine if a major outage has occurred and affected areas; Keeps current with technology to provide technical support for new services; Provides reliable solutions for cost control to NITCO by reducing the amount of home visits.. Assist Central Office in configuration and troubleshooting of VOIP equipment at customer locations; which includes routers, switches, SIP phones, and ATAs. May be responsible for cross-trained duties in other departments as necessary and assigned by management.

Full-time Boring Machine Operator/Construction Worker

Job Purpose:
This position will be required to do labor intensive work such as digging, pulling, pushing, and heavy lifting. The individual will also be operating heavy machinery such as backhoes, and boring machines for the placement of copper and fiber optic cable as well as working with aerial cable. A CDL license is required to operate the construction vehicles.

Job Description:
Places and maintains cable within underground conduit system; places direct buried cable using plowing, digging, and trenching equipment; installs and removes aerial cable, including installation of messenger strands and transfer of cable and equipment from old poles to new poles; sets poles using a pole truck and digging and bracing equipment; installs central office feeder and distribution cable; requires familiarity with all RUS practices and standards; performs other duties when needed to assist in the operations of the department. Operator must be knowledgeable with all typical safety procedures and apply them at all times. Ability to operate directional drill in accordance with blueprints and designated plans.

Wireless Network Specialist / Tower Climber

Building Custodian & General Maintenance - 1 FT Position
