Job Description:
Serves as primary phone support for broadband users for current services offered by NITCO, which includes but are
not limited to Internet, Domain hosting, IPTV, and VoIP by providing technical assistance and guiding the users to
connect or troubleshoot their service problems; provides technical assistance within NITCO to Customer Service
Representatives and Field personnel as a resource for solving service problems for customers. Works with
outsourced technical support to coordinate NITCO’s processes and ensure proper documentation of service calls
with follow-up to ensure quality service to customers. Analyzes call volumes to determine if a major outage has
occurred and affected areas; Keeps current with technology to provide technical support for broadband users and
new services; Provides reliable solutions for cost control to NITCO by reducing the amount of home visits and calls
forwarded to outsourced vendor. Assist Central Office in configuration and troubleshooting of VOIP equipment at
customer locations; which includes routers, switches, SIP phones, and ATAs. As new services are rolled out such as
security, support for these services will be required as well.
Qualifications:
- Highly skilled in customer service to handle difficult and frustrating situations
- Advanced knowledge of the Windows Operating System and its components
- Knowledge in PC software and hardware troubleshooting
- Technical support experience required with familiarity of dial-up, wireless, fiber, and DSL services
- Knowledge of VoIP servers preferred
- Analytical ability to identify and resolve problems
- Knowledge of various email solutions
- Networking knowledge required
- Basic knowledge of Linux and VM technologies
- Ability to learn new technologies as they emerge

Job Purpose:
The construction worker will be required to do labor intensive work such as digging, pulling, pushing, and heavy lifting. The individual will be operating heavy machinery such as backhoes, and boring machines for the placement of copper and fiber optic cable as well as working with aerial cable. A CDL license is required to operate the construction vehicles.
Job Description:
Places and maintains cable within underground conduit system; places direct buried cable using plowing, digging, and trenching equipment; installs and removes aerial cable, including installation of messenger strands and transfer of cable and equipment from old poles to new poles; sets poles using a pole truck and digging and bracing equipment; installs central office feeder and distribution cable; requires familiarity with all RUS practices and standards; performs other duties when needed to assist in the operations of the department.
Qualifications and Skills:
CDL Class A driver's license required to transfer to Lineman position
Insurability with company's carrier
Experience in operating construction equipment
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Must be willing to work weekends and emergency callouts
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently above head
Adaptable to extreme degrees of weather conditions
Physical labor to use a shovel for digging, pulling and pushing heavy cable
Use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tool, or controls
