Job Description:

Primary job tasks will be assisting in the configuration and support of HPBX and VOIP services for customers. This includes but is not limited to configuring network equipment, ATAs, and SIP phones for use with VOIP services; assisting in the running of network cabling for connecting devices; assisting in turn up of SIP trunks with customer; and troubleshooting issues with calls or voice quality issues. In addition to SIP based services some work with be done with configuring PRI or SIP to PRI solution to hand off T1s to customers for legacy PBX systems. Secondary job task will including assisting in basic central office duties such as checking customer connection status, running test for field techs, and any other place where other central office personal need assistance.

Job is full time 40 hour a week position (8 – 5 M – F) with possibility of call outs and night / weekend work for installs that need to occur outside of normal business hours.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Must be able to handle difficult and frustrating situations due to nature of customer base being supported
• Existing knowledge of VOIP preferred
• Analytical ability to identify and resolve problems
• Networking knowledge required
• Ability to learn new technologies as they emerge with little trouble
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to work unsupervised and still keep on task to complete a job correctly and efficiently

• Ability to multi-task
• Extremely patient in dealing with customers
• Detailed oriented for descriptive documentation of calls
• Reliable for working independently and performing a thorough job
• Dependable attendance

Physical Requirements
• Occasionally lifts up to 30 lbs.
• Sitting 80 to 90% of the time
• Keyboarding greater than 70% of the time

Outside Plant - Construction

Job Purpose:
The construction worker will be required to do labor intensive work such as digging, pulling, pushing, and heavy lifting. The individual will be operating heavy machinery such as backhoes, and boring machines for the placement of copper and fiber optic cable as well as working with aerial cable. A CDL license is required to operate the construction vehicles.

Job Description:

Places and maintains cable within underground conduit system; places direct buried cable using plowing, digging, and trenching equipment; installs and removes aerial cable, including installation of messenger strands and transfer of cable and equipment from old poles to new poles; sets poles using a pole truck and digging and bracing equipment; installs central office feeder and distribution cable; requires familiarity with all RUS practices and standards; performs other duties when needed to assist in the operations of the department.

Qualifications and Skills:
CDL Class A driver's license required to transfer to Lineman position
Insurability with company's carrier
Experience in operating construction equipment
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Must be willing to work weekends and emergency callouts

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently above head
Adaptable to extreme degrees of weather conditions
Physical labor to use a shovel for digging, pulling and pushing heavy cable
Use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tool, or controls

Job Description
The Human Resources Manager is a generalist position which requires a diverse knowledge in all areas of Human Resources. The Human Resource Manager is involved in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office by planning, conducting, and coordinating the development, administration, and communication of HR programs and initiatives. The HR Manager carries out responsibilities/participation in the following functional areas: benefits, compensation, compliance, departmental development, Human Resource Information using a database system, employee relations, training and development, and employment.

Essential Job Functions:

Benefits: manages the life cycle of health and welfare benefits for all employees; involved in benefit plan design and the annual open enrollment/strategic planning process as it relates to health and welfare programs: provides day-to-day benefits administration services for all plans. Assists employees with any claim issues, manages daily interface with vendors. Develops and schedules benefits orientations and other benefits training. Recommends changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention. Helps administer the 401(k) plan and completes yearly compliance reporting. Participates in the review and analysis of benefit market trends and participates in the development of new or revised benefit policy recommendations. Manages leave administration (STD, LTD, FMLA) coordinates with appropriate parties as necessary regarding coverage levels.

Compliance: Oversees HIPAA compliance, helps to manage 5500 testing health and welfare plans, and reporting process on both defined benefit and defined contribution plans. Completes annual EE0-1 report, if applicable; complies with all existing federal reporting requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, etc.

Compensation: Provides competitive market research and prepares pay studies to help establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain staff:

Recordkeeping: Maintains all personnel records for recruiting and employment; communicates and partners with accounting and payroll for administering paperwork associated with benefits, personnel records from third party requests, payroll changes, FMLA leave requirements, and HR responsible invoice approvals for account payables. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment: maintains Human Resource database records and compiles reports from database

Other Related Duties: The HR Manager assumes many project responsibilities that encompass all functional areas of HR including: recruitment, training, risk management, human resources development, and employee and labor relations. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. The department also plans company functions and programs such as “Perfect Attendance” program and Hiring Referral program.

• Prior Human Resources experience in all functional areas of HR is highly beneficial.
• Possess proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a necessity
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
