Mail Quota

NetNITCO provides their customers with 500 MB of e mail storage space, however additional storage space is available. If you are interested in receiving more storage space, please Contact Us

  • If you are getting close to your quota, you may receive an e mail such as

You're currently using % of your 500.0MB quota on our mail server. Your mail program may be saving messages on the server. Please remove any large or archived messages as quickly as possible. If you exceed your allowed quota, any new messages you receive will be bounced back to the sender. For further information visit http://www.nitco.com/wiki/

Here are some things to check if you receive this message

Mail Client Users

  • If you're using POP3, it may be a good idea to disable the “leave a copy on the server” as each message will take up space. Another option would be to have it delete after X amount of days.
  • If you're using IMAP, try deleting your trash or sent items as these messages will remain on the server as long as they are on your computer.
  • To Learn how to change these settings, go to the “Troubleshoot by Client” section

NetNITCO Webmail Users

  • Log into your mail account at http://webmail.netnitco.net
  • Check all your mailbox folders to see if there are archived, large, or unneeded messages
    • Some commonly congested folders are “Trash” and “Sent”
